metrigo offers display advertising solutions based on the analysis and processing of a wide variety of aggregated data segments. The data, processes and technologies employed to do this are subject to the strictest privacy protection requirements. All of our systems and solutions are developed in accordance with the existing laws on privacy protection.

Information about privacy protection at metrigo

metrigo respects your privacy and that’s why we would like to explain why we are showing product-specific banners to you. The aim of the advertising activates employed is to increase the relevance of advertising for you, by keeping you informed of special offers and potentially interesting products on behalf of our customers. To ensure this, we use selected methods of targeting to temporarily aggregate and evaluate information about your use of the internet. The information we collect is anonymized and does not contain any personally identifiable information. Moreover, we do not employ targeting methods on children below the age of 13. We take the issue of privacy very seriously and, as a German company, are bound by the very strict provisions of German privacy protection laws. The security of the information stored is guaranteed. We employ highly-developed security mechanisms, such as firewalls and encryption, to protect data from unauthorized access. Our data centers and all of our servers are located in Germany.

What information does metrigo use?

In order to increase the relevance of advertising activities for both our customers as well as for you as an internet user, our software aggregates and uses non-personally identifiable data only, unless it is knowingly and intentionally provided. The information is collected and anonymized by means of small text files called cookies that are stored on your computer. The data comprises, for example, information about the products you have viewed at online shops cooperating with us, the categories you are interested in there, the websites you have visited and the specific ad media you viewed that was delivered by us or that you clicked on. The use of the information is always and only used for the purpose of showing advertising that is relevant to you and reducing advertising spam. If you do not want to see any of the content or advertising that our software has customized for you, you can disable the feature on this page. Like virtually all websites on the internet, metrigo uses cookies that make your computer (but not you personally) identifiable as a visitor based on an IP address. This makes a number of different things easier (e.g. permanent login status for our user interface) and helps us to further improve our offerings. metrigo also uses cookies to anonymously collect usage patterns, improving our service for our customers and optimizing it for you as an internet user as well. In your browser settings you always have the option of completely preventing cookies from being set or to notified before setting them. Our services are basically available even without the use of cookies.

Personally identifiable data

metrigo aggregates and uses personally identifiable data only when you provide it to us via a contact form or initiate another form of direct contract. The use of this information is solely for the purpose of communication and it is explicitly not stored elsewhere, used or combined with non-personally identifiable cookie data. metrigo stores your data for the period of communication with you and at no time shares it with third parties without your consent, provided there is no requirement to do this under the existing laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.


Disclosure of information to third parties

metrigo will never disclose personally identifiable information to third parties without your express consent. What metrigo may disclose to customers and partners are non-personally identifiable usage patterns aggregated by metrigo software. This is done to improve our customers and partners’ promotional activities, services and content for you as a user. The transfer of your personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable information to official government agencies will be done only if required under the existing laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.


Approval and changes to this policy

By using this site, you agree to the aggregation and use of information under this privacy policy. metrigo reserves the right to change or modify this policy at any time. We will keep you updated about any significant changes as appropriate and reasonable. This privacy policy took effect on 1st January 2012. The last change was made on 1st June 2012. metrigo meets all the guidelines of the European IAB program for self-regulation of online behavioral advertising. The European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA) is the umbrella organization of the program and was employed to implement the self-regulation program in Europe. It is supported by all parts of the industry, represented by advertisers, agencies, marketers, networks and technology companies. Over 100 companies have already joined the initiative.
